Step 01Open settings
Generate images, video, and audio, use reference files, and view your generation history and results. Tell the chat which model to use and what you want to create.
Generations use credits from your personal ZCRE account. You can check the estimated usage before creating. Installing the plugin, signing in, or uploading reference files does not spend generation credits.
Find your generated results and links to the originals in the chat where you made the request. How images, video, and audio are displayed depends on the connected AI tool.
First check Plugins → Add (+) → Create custom MCP server on ChatGPT web. If this menu is available, you can open the form without finding a separate toggle. Screens and labels can vary by account, plan, and workspace. If your screen requires Developer mode, check Settings → Security and login or Apps → Advanced settings. In a managed workspace, ask your administrator about permission to create MCP connections. A missing toggle does not establish that the feature has been discontinued. Plugin settings manage installed connections and permissions.
Send the installation request from the Codex tab to a chat to install the ZCRE plugin, then ask to sign in in the same chat. Complete sign-in and consent in the browser, fully quit Codex, and reopen it. Return to your existing chat to create. You do not need to enter a Client ID or edit configuration files.
Your connection may still have older tool information. For an MCP connection added directly in ChatGPT, select Refresh in the ZCRE connection details, then check in a new conversation. Typing “refresh tools” in chat may not update the connection. If tools remain unavailable in Codex, fully quit and reopen the app to check again. Refresh steps vary by app and connection type.
If the error mentions redirect_uri or callback, the return address needs to be checked. Share your app version and error screenshot with support. If 127.0.0.1 refuses the connection after consent, close old authorization tabs, fully quit and reopen Codex, and request a fresh login. Use the new authorization page on the same computer and keep Codex running until completion. If it still fails, include the time. Do not share anything after the question mark in the authentication URL.
The Draft preview is 480p; the final video is 1080p. Ask “Create a Seedance 2.5 Draft first.” After reviewing the preview, ask “Show me a quote for a 1080p final from this Draft.” Review the additional credits and approve execution to proceed. Each stage costs credits separately, and standard 480p generation is different from Draft mode.
